RICHMOND Valley Council has welcomed a $20,000 grant from Destination NSW to help with the promotion of the 2024 Casino Truck Show being held this Saturday.
Clarence Nationals MP Richie Williamson said Richmond Valley Council had a proven ability to create innovative marketing campaigns to promote its events and festivals, and he was pleased the NSW Government could assist with the further promotion of the Casino Truck Show via Destination NSW funding.
Mr Williamson said the Truck Show had grown significantly over the past three years, and the funding would help with promoting the event further afield.
He said the Casino Truck Show was now an unmissable highlight on the calendar of truck enthusiasts across the nation, and he looked forward to many more joining in this year.
“This grant will help promote the event, therefore, attract more visitors and boost the local economy,” Mr Williamson said.
Council’s General Manager Vaughan Macdonald said the grant would expand the Truck Show organising team’s marketing efforts, as well as increase community engagement.
Mr Macdonald said effective marketing could lead to higher attendance, increased sponsorship opportunities, and a more successful Truck Show overall.
“This funding will enable us to reach a broader audience, share our message more effectively, and make a greater impact in the community,” he said.
Fifteen-second ads are running across both the Nine and Seven networks, including during the Olympic Games commercial breaks.
Thirty-second radio ads are being broadcast across the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast regions. Local newspapers are featuring full-page advertisements in the lead up to the Truck Show, and social media platforms are alive with creative and clever clips.
